This is what I love about NSN Festival. I brought in an entirely NEW artist from Washington DC named MARKY, who had NEVER even played a show outside of his area till NSN. He’s even on a major label with Universal Republic, but doesn’t have much label support right now so they’re doing things on their own. His manager is a friend of mine who’s apart of the team behind LMFAO, so when I was presented with the idea of Marky coming down, and after a few solid listens and getting hooked myself, I made the opportunity available to them, along with getting him a show in South Padre just for kicks. His set went from nobody in front of Stage 2 to about 700 people midway through the set, proving that he deserved to be at NSN and making hundreds of new fans. GOLD. Last week, NSN was able to introduce you to new artists that you normally wouldn’t have given a chance, but ultimately making a lot of you into new fans. Marky and his entire team are good people, working hard to get heard and becoming the new breakout artist. Follow him on twitter or visit his website to download his brand new (free) mixtape, Divine Intervention which came out a day before NSN.
